correct me if i'm wrong, but i think i just realized another wt contradiction.
i read a critical analysis of the origin of life and was life created brochures called "weighed and found wanting" (which is exellent by the way and recommend it, it's here somewhere).
as i read along on the brochures i finally noticed how the society makes constant appeals to your own common sense and intuition.

It's a clever technique to reinforce their own brainwashing, by asking question to draw out memories of the ridiculous points they have been hammering in to your head for so many years.

why did you leave the organization of jehovah's witnesses, and/or why are you contemplating leaving the organization of jehovah's witnesses?.
i've tried to boil it down to the most likely answers based on all the reasons i have heard over the years from xjw's.
a. because the watchtower bible & tract society does not have the truth.. b. because i had a personality conflict with other members of the organization.. c. because i discovered that the wtbts was not being honest or forthcoming about its history.. d. because serving jehovah was too difficult and i just wanted to be worldly and do wicked things.. e. because the governing body of jehovah's witnesses have proved to be false prophets.. f. because i found just cause to disagree with erroneous jw teachings.. g. because the governing body and/or elders were hypocritical.
A. Once I discovered it was not the "truth", there was no question concerning what needed to happen.

i was dfd in 1995 however i still believed it was the truth until 2009. and until then i was fearful of armageddon's day.. i remember every time i'd see a dark sky with thunders and lighting i would question if that was it.
the news of any major disaster, hurricanes earthquakes would ignite fear inside me and i would think that could be the beginning of the end.. when i was around 8 i remember going to visit my grandma and she was watching the news.
a major conflict in the middle east had ended and some president said that the world was not in peace.
Was never really afraid of Armageddon since I was convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would survive Armageddon.
I looked forward to Armageddon.

sorry for being blunt, but I do believe this to be true.
However, you are probably a very nice person (most Christians are fairly nice) and I don't want to hurt your feelings....however....since I have the freedom to speak my mind and I am completely done with dishonesty and falsehoods I have to say what needs to be said.
I say the same thing to those of the islam faith who take it to an extreme.

when you look at all the hours they do going door to door world wide and then you look at how many hours preaching it takes to bring just 1 person to their organization, it's not efficient.. my mom goes to a baptist church now, and i was surprised to know that 500 go to that meeting on sundays and they don't go door to door to go get these people.. there might be 80 witnesses at my hall and going door to door doesn't make much of a difference.
maybe it's even counter productive since people don't like being pested at home..
I chuckle once in a while over the predicament the WTS is in.

i clearly am for it if it's proven without a doubt that a person murdered another in cold blood.
recently, in connecticut, a man was convicted of killing 2 young girls and their mother.
the animal raped them and almost killed the defenseless husband/father who could do nothing while these atrocities were being carried out in his own home!.
I am in favor of the death penalty, but only if I am the one making all the decisions.
that monster in conneticut would definitely get the thumbs down from the oracle

the elders in the area are having their elders school.
it was announced at one hall,not to forget their badges or they wouldn't be allowed inside.. i shared with my mother some things in the elder book without telling her that's where i heard it.
she just shakes her head,but says it's still the truth.

ive been thinking about the future of the watchtower organization and the challenges it faces in coming decades.
its difficult to address the issue without allowing personal feelings affect the analysis.
many people seem to think that the society will collapse fairly soon, based mostly on the fact that the person dislikes the leadership or cant understand how others can believe the doctrine.
just read this now - excellent analysis.
